March 1809, for months Austria has been arming itself to take its revenge on Austerlitz. The great foreign powers having refused to follow her, she had to go to war alone. The time is right because the Great Army is at the other end of Europe, in Spain, facing a people in struggle and Austria hopes that the German people will rise up against France too. On the 30th, its armies, led by Archduke Charles, invaded Bavaria without a declaration of war, hoping to surprise the dispersed French Army of Germany before its reinforcements arrived. Will it hold until the arrival of the Emperor or will the Archduke reject it north of the Danube in disorder?
