Kendamas

Behind this exotic little name Kendama is a traditional wooden toy straight from Japan. In this game of skill, also known as the Japanese bilboquet, the player must try to catch a wooden ball with the handle, while performing technical tricks, some of which can be very complex.

Kendama consists of two distinct parts:

The Ken: wooden handle made of two interlocking pieces, the Sword (the handle) and the Sarado (Big Cup and Little Cup). Once assembled, the Ken has the aspect of a small hammer surmounted by a pick (Spike).

The Tama: wooden ball pierced in its center and connected to the handle by a thin nylon string. The Tama has a hole (Bevel) whose entrance is conical.
