In the world of international espionage effective ways of completing missions are just as important as improvisation and secured travel routes. In Spy Connection players travel Europe to fulfill their missions as quickly as possible. To fulfill mission cards, players have to build a route between all shown locations. While they are allowed to use their established network to fulfill future missions, their network is of limited size: eventually, to expand in one direction they will have to remove markers elsewhere, thus changing their network throughout the game to meet the current requirements. Whoever manages to fulfill 7 missions first, wins the game.

There has never been an easier way of becoming an international spy than Spy Connection. The right mix of planning and improvisation is key to winning this network building family game for 2 to 4 players aged 8 and up.

    Dans Spy Connection, tout est dans le titre. On contrôle un espion qui se balade aux quatre coins de l’Europe, et on doit construire un réseau d’agents et se déplacer en suivant les routes connectées, et tout ça en résolvant des cartes objectifs indiquant les villes à relier.

    Ça ne vous dit rien ? Si vous avez répondu Les Aventuriers du Rail, vous avez bien vu ! Spy Connection est un jeu étrange. Signé par deux auteurs connus sur le marché du jeu de société, Matthew Dunstan, Brett J. Gilbert, Elysium et Professor Evil et la Citadelle du Temps, entre autres, Spy Connection pompe dans les mêmes mécaniques que le jeu culte de 2004 qui continue, 17 ans plus tard, à se vendre par palette.

    Spy Connection est une « réinvention » des Aventuriers du Rail, froid, creux et sans intérêt. Spy Connection fait très jeu des années 90. Une esthétique dépassée et obsolète, des règles peu, pas captivantes. On dirait un jeu de commande, peu inspiré. Un jeu étrange, car avec ce duo d’auteurs, on aurait pu s’attendre à un titre percutant. Au final, on a un jeu plat.
