The Iron Masters are a powerful sect within Abyssal Dwarf society.

They communicate with the most evil, wield supernatural powers, and conduct debased experiments that combine mortals with the demonic creatures of the Abyss. The most dangerous results of these experiments are the Great Metis, huge monsters used as mounts by the iron masters and particularly wealthy overlords. While the Iron Masters rarely exercise their power openly, they are the true influence of many Overlords.
