The Phoenix Syndicate

Legend tells of the daring exploits and ruthless greed of the Phoenix Syndicate, which rose to power and created a galactic regime. But the old order has lost its flame and become bogged down in the affairs of the masses. It's time for a new syndicate to rise from the ashes of the old one... and make a nice profit in the process.

Each time you play, a new galaxy is created by the random arrangement of galactic hexagons. As the game progresses, you will claim trade routes, each specifying which systems you wish to include in your network. The more successful you are in meeting these trade routes, the more lucrative the deal will be and the more credits you will earn. To connect planets to your network, you will need resources, which you can of course "acquire" on planets where you already have agents.

During the game, you can perform one main action per turn, which is then used until you take a deployment turn to collect all your spent action markers. The actions are simple at first, but as you gain technology, you can improve them. Smartly improving some of your actions and relying on them more is key to success. By using your technologies wisely and exploiting the special bonus actions you can access by infiltrating trade guilds with your agents, you can outperform your opponents and end up with an enviable pile of galactic credits.
