In Lorenzo the Magnificent, each player is the head of a noble family in Renaissance Florence.

Like Lorenzo the Magnificent, who was one of the most powerful statesmen of the time, players attempt to gain prestige and fame to accumulate more victory points than their opponents. To do this, they must send their family members to different parts of the city to meet various objectives. In some areas of the city, they will receive resources, in others, development cards (representing new territories, buildings, influential people to rally to their cause or projects to claim), while elsewhere again, they can activate the powerful effects of their cards.
How the game works

Players will have to send their family members to different locations in the city to accomplish various objectives. In some areas of the city, they will receive resources, in others, development cards (representing new territories, buildings, influential people to rally to their cause or projects to claim), while in others, they will be able to activate the powerful effects of their cards. Not all Family Members are the same: at the beginning of each round, the first player will roll 3 dice to determine their value. Players will have to carefully choose where to send the higher value ones.
How do you win?

There are different ways to get victory points, and players will also have to consider their connection to the Church. The game is divided into 3 periods, each consisting of 2 rounds; at the end of each period, players will have to prove their loyalty to the Church, and those who have not shown enough piety will suffer heavy penalties. After 6 rounds, players will calculate their final score and the player with the most victory points will be declared the winner. It's up to you to manage your resources and develop a strategy to become an influential character of the Renaissance!
