Guild Academies of Valeria

Only select graduates can be tasked to fulfill quests ordered by the King, while the so-so graduates are sent to the capital city to make their own way.

Guild Academies of Valeria uses action selection, dice drafting and dice manipulation (Students), tile drafting, resource management and engine building (Academies), contract fulfillment (Quests), and a unique system where players choose which game aspects they want to score (Council Ministers) to bring a new aspect of the Valeria Universe to life.

Guild Academies of Valeria includes all unlocked stretch goals.

KNOWN COMPONENT ISSUES

• 2 of the 4 Action cards in the Solo Play deck are missing the “Draft the Lowest Die” step. You can download corrected cards in the "Download" section.
• There are 4 Torch tokens for each player in the box. You only need 3 Torch tokens per player.
• There are 3 Round Marker tokens in the box. You only need 1 Rounds token to play the game.
• There are 3 Questing tokens for each player in the box. You only need 1 Questing token per player.

KNOWN RULEBOOK ISSUES

• Page 11, Center Column: The example illustration shows a yellow pointer pointing to an empty pedestal. There should be a Worker Professor/Guild Monument chit on that pedestal.
• Page 11, Right Column, Upper Example: The example illustration shows a blue pointer pointing to an empty pedestal. There should be a Worker Professor/Guild Monument chit on that pedestal.
• Page 15, Lower Left Corner: The art shows the character as the Minister of Culture but the text shows Minister of Urbanization. Minister of Culture is correct. “Urbanization” was a term used during development that we missed updating prior to publication.
• Page 15, Lower Left Corner: The text for the Minister of Urbanization/Minister of Culture is not clear enough. In the updated rulebook linked below, the text is changed to “Earn 1VP per tile for the one largest grouping of adjacent tiles that have different guild icons at the top. If a tile has two guild icons, select one guild icon to be used in all of that tile’s adjacency comparisons.” The underlined statement clarifies that you cannot use one icon for one adjacency comparison and the other icon for a different adjacency comparison. Choose one icon and stick with it.
