Resolutely oriented towards dynamic and fast games, the “From Trenches to Barricades” rule is based on original playful choices:
• A “skirmish” format of around thirty figurines where neither the scale of the figurines nor the base are imposed.
• Several special dice allowing you to simulate the level of skills, morale or abilities of the different units, banishing any tedious calculation of bonuses/penalties.
• A game board delimited by squares or zones to ensure the legibility of terrain elements, lines of sight and objectives to be achieved and thus put an end to rulers and millimeter measurements.
• Around thirty skills ensuring real customization of troops and equipment and a budget system to recreate your favorite troops and theaters of operations.
• A fluid activation/reaction system which provides action possibilities for the inactive player, guaranteeing the nervousness of the games.
The book focuses on two theaters of operation: The Great Arab Revolt and the Spanish Civil War and offers lists of armies, vehicles and equipment, heroes and thematic scenarios.
You will also find a budget system to create your own army lists for your favorite theaters of operation.
The rulebook comes with a game aid and a sheet of stickers to create your own dice and markers.
