The land of Gradina has been plagued by relentless beasts, unseen horrors and despair beyond imagination since an event called "The Day of the Beasts".

Take part in the story as you explore a world plunged into a new era of darkness and calamity. In this combat-oriented version of the Powered by the Apocalypse TTRPG system, take on the role of a monster hunter (inspired by various Dark Fantasy media such as Berserk, Kimetsu No Yaiba, Dark Souls, The Lord of the Rings and many more), traversing and defending a world confronted by monsters for the first time, learning to navigate this now dilapidated land and overcoming the abominations that infest the fields you once called home!

And so the hunt begins...  

Today, as the new kingdoms have spread far and wide, the dark past of this land has emerged from the shadows and appeared in the open under the night sky. On Beast's Day, dragons, harpies, griffins, werewolves and all manner of unholy envoys and ancient monsters appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. The people of Gradina must face these new threats with the little knowledge they have, and while kings and nobles rush to their dungeons, villages are left abandoned and in desperate need of defense. Answer the call and join the hunt!

In The Dread of Night, create one of 13 iconic classes inspired by monster-hunting media (such as Berserk, Dark Souls, The Witcher, etc.), some afflicted by powerful curses, others burdened by unimaginable losses, and still others simply hoping to thrive amidst the chaos. Fight against the unknown, against the rising power of legendary beasts, and conquer the fears of humanity that manifest themselves in the darkness of... the dread of night!
