Discover the secrets that lie beneath the surface of your happy home...

Discover what lurks in the shadows, growing and festering...

The tone of Suburban Consumption of the Monstrous ranges from dark comedy to cosmic and existential horror, from unhealthy family dynamics to the feeling of being trapped in ordinary homes transformed into sinister houses of horror.

Big fans of horror media, designers Banana and Sadia drew inspiration from the films We Are What We Are (2013), Coherence (2013), The Invitation (2015), Get Out (2017) and Hereditary (2018), as well as TV series such as Hannibal (2013), Channel Zero (2016) and Sharp Objects (2018). The 2016 novel and 2020 film I'm Thinking of Ending Things, the French folk tale Barbe-Bleue and Jean-Paul Sartre's play No Exit (1944) have also inspired some games.

Are you still human when your pretenses are gone? It's time to find out...
