In the future, humanity is under constant attack from a violent alien race known as Komplex. Facing them are the pilots of the Forge: the commanders of the spaceships known as Snap Ships. Fast-attack ships, interceptors, armored bombers, drop ships and support vessels - Snap Ships are built from modular components, enabling the vessels to be equipped on the fly for the specific mission assigned to them.

In Snap Ships Tactics, each player builds a customized miniature ship (or squadron of ships) and commands it in intense tactical combat over a series of rounds. Ships are fully modular, built from a library of hundreds of unique plastic components.

Ships maneuver on a free-form battlefield, with players allocating energy to their ship's unique systems to move, dodge and fire many different weapons. They can take advantage of the dangers of the battlefield and terrain to gain the upper hand and attempt to destroy the opposing squadron's ships.
