Gettysburg 1863 uses the largest assembled game board Worthington/Old School Wargames has ever created. The reason for this being the largest game board ever created by the publisher is the desire to use large, thick counters with large hexes - 3/4-inch thick counters with large hexes - which, at this scale, requires a large game board.
Scale: Each hex equals 200-220 yards per hex, with elevation changes of 35 to 40 feet. Each strength point equals 100 men per strength point or 1 to 3 cannons per strength point. Each turn equals 1 hour.
Gettysburg 1863 is the fourth volume in Old School Wargames' Civil War brigade battle series. Players have the opportunity to relive the historic and decisive battle of Gettysburg in 1863 using a large mounted game board, large pieces and a simplified set of series rules of just 8 to 12 pages.
The battle booklet will give you historical details, design notes and 6 scenarios:
