Jeff Davis: The Confederacy at War

You play President Jefferson Davis, leading the Confederate government and the Southern war effort.

Your choices will affect the fate of large armies and the titanic struggle between Lee and Grant, as well as peripheral or more scattered campaigns such as Morgan's Ohio Raid and the Indian Territory.

Decide which famous generals deserve scarce artillery and battleship resources as you unleash your cavalry raiders behind Union lines and bring reinforcements into battle on your crumbling railroad network.

Back in Richmond, you'll push the Confederate Congress to adopt your reforms and make the Confederacy effective while you defend cities critical to your political survival.

Assign your cabinet members to economic issues to support agriculture, industry and infrastructure for the war effort. Slavery is a major factor in your economy, but you'll pay for most of your actions through the cat-and-mouse game of naval blockade.

Choose which armies to supply, and anticipate where the next Union push might come from. Can you hold out long enough to trigger British and French intervention?
