French artist Roger Blachon was one of his country's best-known press cartoonists. He published extensively in magazines, but also illustrated children's books. His versatility was reflected in the fact that he won both the "Grand Prix de L'Humour Blanc" and the "Grand Prix de L'Humour Noir". Roger Blachon passed away in 2008.
