Use your energy dice to learn new spells and collect them in your grimoire!

Every hundred years, when the planets in this solar system align in a certain way, starlight and sunlight focus their magic on a small island in the great ocean. That's when a mystical flower appears. However, it doesn't appear to just anyone, but only to the most skilled magician on the island at the time. Will you be that magician? Each spell has a unique effect, which will help you learn other new spells or score knowledge points. Save your energy, because once you've used it up, you'll have to pass your turn to roll the dice again!

Specifically, each player has six colored dice, which he rolls at the start of the game and places in his spell book. Six random spell cards are placed on the six colored locations on the island board. Each turn, you choose a die that corresponds to the location where you want to learn a spell, then pay for that spell with other dice whose sum is equal to the value of the first die. If you use two dice to claim a spell, you gain two mana, which you can use in subsequent turns to adjust the value of a die or claim an unowned die on the island board; if you use three dice, you gain 3 knowledge points.

Each spell has a unique ability that helps players learn new spells or gain additional knowledge points. You gain further bonuses by placing spells in the corresponding slots in your spell book, or by placing spells adjacent to each other to complete sigils.

You start the game with two task cards that can award you end-of-game points if you fulfill their conditions, and you earn two additional tasks when you complete a row of your spell book. When someone has completed their tenth spell, you end the round, then tally the points.
