This is a game of hidden roles in which the tension of each vote is very real.
Some players play the part of infected crew members who are trying to infect and finish off the others, while others are healthy crew members who are trying to save the Aurora space station.
Designed by Arkaitz Caride and illustrated by Rubén Vila Suárez, The Guest can be played in large groups of 5 to 12 players, ages 8 and up, in games lasting approximately 30 minutes. In this hidden role game, the players' objective is to survive by being the last one standing or by eliminating the opposing team.
At the start of the game, there are 2 sides: the healthy crew members (whom we will call Humans from here on in) and the crew members infected by the Guests (who will be Guests from here on). Nobody knows which crew members are infected by Guests. But be very careful: a third side could emerge if someone loses their mind.
Throughout the game, crew members will play cards with different powers and effects to try to guess the identities of the other players. Among the deck of cards are also voting cards, which trigger a special phase in which a voting is taken and a player could be eliminated from the ship. Among the cards, there are also some that can be used to alter the voting process, so you never know what might happen.
