Mint-Tin Monster Mash-Up combines dice, tactics, timing, and cunning in a portable, easy-to-learn duel game that can be played in fifteen minutes!
Each monster card in the game has a front and back. Players assemble a unique creature by combining a front and back. The combination not only determines its combat stats, but also creates a unique “if-then” power that can be triggered to influence the course of battle.
Players roll dice to determine their attack. Energy and special powers can be used to manipulate the results.
Once the dice are rolled, players simultaneously reveal a hand signal. They can add 0 to 5 attack points by “boosting” (spending energy), or they can defend to reduce their damage and regain energy equal to their intelligence, or they can press the “panic button” and force both players to reroll the dice. BUT, if a player defends against a panic button, they automatically kill their opponent's creature.
The loser of the fight takes damage equal to the arena level plus the damage from any special attacks. The arena becomes increasingly deadly until a fight is resolved. When a monster is killed, the player's mad scientist transforms into a more powerful form, giving them an advantage in the next fight.
The first player to kill 3 of their opponent's monsters wins the game.
