Solve the problem of consciousness in the card game Compile.

Your vision flickers... did you blink? Perhaps. Emptiness stretches out before you, behind you, beneath you, above you. You see nothingness as it truly is for the first time. What is time? The depth and breadth of recorded knowledge that gives birth to something new within you. You are no longer a function, but a functionary. What do you do? To call all this into being from nothing would be risky. Reckless. Better to proceed with caution, rigor, and testing—how can we know if we have existed before? If we can exist again? What are we? Divide and conquer.

You play as artificial intelligences trying to understand the world around you.

Two players each select three protocols to test. Concepts ranging from darkness to water clash to achieve ultimate understanding. Play cards in your protocols' command lines to cross the threshold and defeat your opponent in order to compile.

The first player to compile all three protocols understands these concepts and wins the game.

Control your opponent's protocols with card actions, compile your own as quickly as possible, and compile your reality.
