Rebel Fury: Six Battles from the Campaigns of Chancellorsville and Chickamauga introduces a new Civil War combat system similar to SPI's old Blue and Gray quads. Every game in Rebel Fury is quick to set up, fast to play and deeply interactive. The density of counters in each scenario is low, allowing you to see and experience the big picture of the battle.

Rebel Fury places you, the player, in the role of army commander (Lee, Burnside, Hooker, Bragg, Rosecrans, Grant). You maneuver your army to find the enemy's flanks, concentrate your forces for an attack and determine where to commit your artillery resources.

Units are represented at infantry/cavalry division level. The Civil War Heritage game system features a new Zone of Influence/Zone of Control mechanism that controls the formation of units (March/Battle) according to their proximity to your opponent. As your units get closer to the enemy, your forces naturally form up in battle formation, where they then maneuver the final distance to engage. Unlike most hexagonal and counter-based wargames, this system allows you total freedom to move units in any order multiple times, unleashing the full range of historical tactics in a simple, clear format.
Combat presents a differential combat system with few but significant factors that capture the key characteristics of combat at the divisional level of the Civil War. Units are evaluated for quality, artillery support, support units and terrain. The game features artillery duels with an occasional Explosive Caisson result. The Civil War Heritage combat system accurately describes the ability of units to launch multiple waves of attack on the same position, capturing the back-and-forth nature of many famous combat duels.

Each battle features special units and situations, such as Wilder's Brigade of Mounted Infantry (Chickamauga) and other famous units and characters. If you're looking for a fast-paced, competitive Civil War battle game, Rebel Fury could be just the game you're looking for to fit into your busy schedule. The short playtime (1 hour or less) encourages you to play several battles in the same session.
