Stroop

Description

Stroop is a real-time observation game based on the Stroop effect, a psychological phenomenon caused by interference between different brain functions.

Each Stroop card displays a single word. The words are printed in several colors (black, red, blue, and yellow), sizes (large and small), and styles (hollow and solid), and they have different numbers of letters (three, four, five, and six). The challenge is to read a word and quickly match it to the description of another word, ignoring what the second word says.

In the first round of the game, players receive an equal number of cards, and one card is turned face up in the center of the table, forming the base of a pile. Players then rush to find a card in their deck that matches the description of the center card and place it on top of the pile, replacing the center card. The game continues until one player has no cards left.

The second round of the game is similar to the first, except that the rule regarding which cards can be played is reversed: now, a card can only be played if its text describes the qualities of the card in the center. The player with the fewest cards remaining wins.
