Checkers is a classic strategy game for two people.

The game is played on a chess board with 8 x 8 squares or on the international board with 10 x 10 squares. Only the black squares are used.

Checkers has simple rules, is not difficult to learn and you can start playing quickly. The aim of the game is to capture or block your opponent's pieces. Only the pieces of your own color are moved forward to a free black square. If a square is occupied by an opponent's piece and the square behind it is free, the player may jump over the opponent's piece. The opponent's piece is then captured and removed from the board.

The winner is the last player to have any pieces left on the board.
