Hell broke loose in Saint-Antoine!

In the Middle Ages, ergotism (a disease resulting from ergot poisoning, a parasitic fungus causing convulsions, gangrene, and hallucinogenic effects similar to LSD) was known as Saint Anthony's Fire, Fire Plague, or Mal des Ardents. Those suffering from this affliction believed they were being consumed from within by the flames of Hell.

Once pious and prosperous, the village of Saint-Antoine is now devastated by Mal des Ardents and ravaged by four plagues: Pestilence, War, Famine, and Madness.

The villagers, now mad, are divided into two factions: the Faithful, who pray to save what can be saved, and the Possessed, who act sneakily and in the shadow of the Devil to plunge the village into chaos.

The Faithful must lead one of the Plagues to Redemption, while the Possessed must draw one of the Plagues toward the Burning Sickness, which inevitably descends upon the village each turn, while trying not to be unmasked.
