The game is played in three rounds, called “Seasons.”
Players receive “Bird” and “Island” cards, then proceed to a draft.
Players place islands (or improve existing ones) to generate resources (plants, fish, meat). They must then place their birds on valid locations corresponding to their food needs.
Points are calculated based on the value of the birds placed and various bonuses (complete flocks, affinities between species, bonus resources).
A central mechanic of the game requires players to rotate their Island cards at the end of each round, thus changing the available resources and the viability of habitats for the next round.
Once the third season has passed, the game is over! Add up the scores from the three seasons and the player with the highest score is declared the winner.
