New islands have emerged from the ocean, and as scientists, you must research the new, developing ecosystems present there.

Watch the islands on the board grow in three dimensions as you learn more about them, and add colorful plants and animals to each island as you explore their ecosystems.

Each round in Emerge, earn points by rolling your dice and using them to collect research and make discoveries. All players start with the same research board, but throughout the game you can modify your own board and change what you're researching. After eight rounds, score points based on how flourished and biodiverse your islands are as well as varying research objectives.

    Emerge se déroule sur un archipel volcanique en développement. Les joueurs incarnent des chercheurs qui explorent les îles, collectent des découvertes et construisent un écosystème. Le jeu combine stratégie et hasard, avec des interactions toutefois limitées entre les joueurs.

    On apprécie la qualité du matériel et la clarté des règles. On souligne également l'accessibilité du jeu à tous les publics et sa combinaison équilibrée de stratégie et de chance. Oui, mais. L'ambiance est un peu... neutre et... plate. On regrettera le manque d'interaction.

    Emerge est un jeu de société divertissant et accessible, qui plaira aux joueurs occasionnels et confirmés. Mais l'absence d'interaction directe et l'ambiance neutre pourraient en revanche ne pas convenir à tous.

    Un très bon jeu, certes, mais pas grandiose non plus.
