Emperor Qin Shi Huang has passed away. To protect him in the afterlife, a great army in the form of faithful warrior statues must be assembled to stand guard at the emperor's tomb. You will be among those charged with building this magnificent army.
In Terracotta Army, you collect resources, upgrade your workers and seek the favor of the emperor's advisors. Your goal is to play a crucial role in the process of creating the terracotta army, and your success is measured in victory points. You and your fellow players build the army together, but at the end of the fifth round of play, only one of you - the one with the most points - will emerge victorious.
During the game, you place warrior figures in the mausoleum, forming groups. The miniatures in a group can belong to more than one player, as indicated by the player bases on the miniatures. Several distinct groups of the same type of miniatures can exist in the mausoleum.
You will have many opportunities to score points based on dominance and presence. To achieve dominance, you must be the only player with the most specific resources or types of statues scoring points. (If you are the only player, you have dominance.) To have presence, you must have at least one specific resource or statue type scoring.
At the end of the fifth round, the player with the most VPs has won.
