In Paranormal Detectives, one player is a Ghost who has just died. The other players are paranormal detectives. The Ghost's goal is to explain all the circumstances of their death (Who? Where? How? Why? With what weapon?) to the other players. At the beginning of the game, the Ghost must secretly read a scenario card that lists all the answers to the questions surrounding their death. Throughout the game, they must do their best to communicate with the paranormal detectives to try and explain the circumstances of their demise.

But! Because there's always a but. Do I need to remind you? A Ghost cannot communicate verbally with the living. And no! That's where the paranormal detectives come in! Since the profession of paranormal detective is little known and often ridiculed, each of them must use their best skills to be the first to understand the full circumstances of the Ghost's death! Renown, renown... who are you renowned for? Each has a variety of techniques, some more effective than others, to try to communicate with the Ghost: the spirit tablet, automatic writing, Tarot cards, Hangman's knots, ghostly touch... and many other techniques that will help solve this mysterious death!
