Their infantry had an advantage in combat thanks to the heavy armour and steel shields they were equipped with, which gave them a feeling of invincibility. 
Most of Lannister's enemies were unable to break through such strong lines.

    Unité de base des armées Lannister, les Gardes représentent le coeur de leur dispositif.

    Leur excellente capacité défensive leur permet de tenir le front et ainsi, de donner le temps aux commandants Lannister de préparer leurs embûches. Par ailleurs, la faiblesse de leur attaque est compensée par l'ordre de leur capitaine qui, fidèle au style de jeu Lannister, permet d'infliger en retour des pertes à son agresseur via des jets de moral affaiblis.

    Seul faiblesse, comme beaucoup d'unités Lannister, c'est une unité peu mobile.
