In Zero to Hero, the winner or runner-up is not always the player who plays the strongest card, but the one who wins the most points in the same suit and who played the strongest card in that suit.
To add a little spice to the game, you can win a trick with a “2” if you are the only player to play a tile of that suit. Finally, if the game is going really badly for you and you finish a hand with exactly zero points, you can win the game if, in the next hand, you score five or more points: from zero to hero!
