Which Side – New York 1910-1911 is a deep and immersive cooperative board game based on real historical events. You play as a group of garment workers struggling to survive and fight back during one of the most violent winters in New York’s labor history.

Turn after turn, you’ll face the assaults of the bosses, struggle to survive the cold, trigger strikes, print leaflets, sabotage the machinery… and hope to hold out long enough to seize control of the means of production. But beware: every decision comes at a cost. Survival is individual, but the struggle is collective — and only a shared strategy will allow you to stand against mounting adversity.

With a unique mix of worker placement and tight resource management, Which Side offers a somber but highly strategic experience for players who enjoy historical themes, social struggles, and hard choices.

  • The game was co-designed by a historian specializing in labor movements across Mexico and the United States. His PhD research focused on the daily lives of anarchist militants and the transnational roots of the autonomist revolution (1886–1927).
  • The solo mode is particularly challenging — even the game’s author hasn’t managed to win it yet. But don’t give up: at least one player has already pulled it off!
  • This game is locally produced in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, within 50 km of our workshop, on a small scale, using materials selected for their low environmental impact.

In this antiwaste edition, some components have minor imperfections (color variations on some cards, slightly oversized icons, uneven distribution of money tokens). The game remains complete, functional, and fully playable. A concrete solution against waste, fully aligned with our values.
