Each character starts with a health of fifty-one and a mastery of zero. Each turn, you can spend one gem (money) to earn one mastery point. The more mastery you have, the more powerful your cards become.
So even the weakest cards in your starting deck become more powerful as the game progresses. If you reach a total of thirty mastery points, you can activate your Infinite Radiance, which instantly beats your opponent.
As you acquire new cards, you can use allies and champions to develop your strategy.
Mercenary cards can be added to your game as in other pack building games, or they can be played immediately from the center row for their ability; this adds even more intensity to each player's turn as a turnaround can change the very outcome of the game!
