Save the citizens, let them work in your domain and fight the plague.

At that time, merchant ships delivering luxury goods to Europe brought an unprecedented epidemic to those countries - and one of the first cities affected was Messina, Italy.

In the game, players take on the role of prominent Messinian families who leave the city and move to the countryside for fear of being infected with the plague.

While doing so, they focus on saving the other inhabitants and help fight the plague infection in the city. They must also strive to thrive in their residence in the countryside, where they temporarily host the rescued residents. There they all wait for the outbreak to subside, then return to Messina to take control and dominate certain areas of the city.
