Players take on secret roles and attempt to defeat the one and only Curse.
In Betrayal: The Cards of Lost Souls, a group of explorers is drawn to the mysteries of an isolated house on a hill, where an ancient cursed deck of cards was discovered in the attic.
As they play, they must confront the omens and curses hidden within the cards, using items to survive the many horrors that arise.
But the threat doesn’t come solely from the game itself: a traitor may be hiding among the players, ready to betray the group in order to unleash the true curse.
Many lost souls have been drawn to the secrets hidden in the House on the Hill. Today, an ancient relic (a cursed deck of cards) from the darkest corners of the attic has trapped you as well!
In the game, a player and their fellow explorers must race to defeat the many horrors lurking within the deck of cards. Play “Item” cards to defeat Omen and Curse cards, but beware! A traitor may be hiding among you, working against the others to unleash the true Curse.
Take on secret roles
Each player is assigned a secret role: play as one of the explorers working together to defeat the Omen and the Curse. But beware, one of you might be the traitor trying to prevent the others from defeating the true Curse.
Use items to defeat the Omen and the Curse
Each Omen and Curse requires different Item cards to be defeated, so the explorers must devise strategies to help each other and obtain the items they need.
How to Win
If, at the end of the game, the explorers possess the items needed to defeat the True Curse, they win! Otherwise, the traitor wins
