Farmhand Pocket Line Edition: gaming fun in pocket size: predict, bid, bluff, and win!

Farmhand Pocket Line Edition is a unique trick-taking game that combines prediction and detection! Players know the colors of their opponents' cards, but not their values. Do your best to predict the number of tricks you will win, while preventing your opponents from doing the same!

Each round begins with players estimating the number of tricks they will win based on the backs of their opponents' cards (and the fronts of their own cards).

Those who manage to reach their exact target score points.

The game features 6 asymmetrical suits ranging from 1 to 6 cards, with values between 1 and 7 distributed among the suits. The gameplay includes taking tricks, colors visible to all, and simultaneous bidding.

The game is played in 6 rounds, and in each round, players receive a hand that increases by one card (1 card in round 1, 2 cards in round 2, etc.).

Since all suits are visible to all players, each player must try to predict the number of tricks they will win in the round. Bidding is done simultaneously by showing a certain number of fingers.

Bids are recorded and the trick-taking phase begins.

Everyone plays their cards according to the standard rules of trick-taking games, but the highest card wins the trick, regardless of its suit. BUT... if cards of the same value are played, they cancel each other out and the next highest card wins the trick. This often leads to surprising results and lots of laughter and grumbling.

Points are awarded based on how accurate the players' predictions are:

  • If your bid and your tricks match EXACTLY, you score a number of points equal to the current round.
  • If your bid and tricks DO NOT MATCH, you score -1 point per difference.

The dealer moves clockwise. Gather all the cards, shuffle them, and deal them again.

Play 6 rounds. The winner is the player with the highest score.
