Limit takes place over seven generations, but the game can end earlier if you and your opponents trigger four global crises. Each generation consists of 3 phases:
1) The Political phase, where you make political decisions. Draw and play cards in pairs, applying their effects: improve your population's standard of living, build factories, promote vegetarianism, attack a nation, outsource production, etc.
2) The Social phase, where your nation reacts to these decisions. You will feed your population, produce goods, collect taxes, etc.
3) The International phase, where crises arise and alliances are formed.
The final score is based on a factual representation of your nation. You lose points for pollution and national instability, while you gain points for your military power, financial influence, territory, and the standard of living of your population.
Limit offers a unique experience: that of leading a nation in our global system. It is impossible to maximize everything, so it will be a matter of choices—yours and those of other nations.
