ISS Vanguard plunges players into the heart of an epic science-fiction adventure, as they embody 4 sections (security, reconnaissance, science, engineering) aboard the first human vessel capable of reaching outer space.

The campaign introduces the unique story written by Krzysztof Piskorski (Tainted Grail), full of difficult choices, twists and turns. The game features over 100 different crew members, each with unique characteristics.

The game is divided into 2 main stages: the ship phase and landing on planets.

During the ship phase, players manage their ship (binder with printed pockets), where each section must make game decisions. Next, you'll prepare your crew to land on the next planet, in search of answers to humanity's biggest questions. Together, you'll choose the lander and customize it with modules, then each section will choose a crew member for a mission (more experienced crew members will have higher ranks), build a skill set, pick up equipment and choose dice for each character.
During all phases of the game, players will be directed to the logbook, which contains accounts of encounters, often written in the form of action-packed dialogues between characters.
