Terraforming Mars: Prélude, a new expansion
After Hellas & Elysium and Venus Next, Prélude is the 3rd expansion to the Terraforming Mars base game, which has won awards at several gaming festivals (As d'or Expert 2018, Deutscher SpielePreis 2017, Diana Jones Award for Excellence 2017, Cardboard Republic Architect Laurel 2016).
To play, the Prelude expansion requires the core game and can be combined with any other expansion or variant of the Terraforming Mars saga.
Terraforming Mars: Prélude, the introduction of new cards
Thanks to this small 47-card expansion, you can now customize your corporation right from the start of the game.
Among the new cards, Prélude includes:
- 7 new projects
- 5 new corporations
- 35 Prélude cards for customizing corporations, starting the terraforming process or boosting corporation mechanisms
Terraforming Mars: Prelude, a gas pedal effect
At the start of the game, this expansion gives you the opportunity to boost the first few turns of the game.
Even before you start terraforming, you now have the chance to make choices that will define your corporation and set the course for the future of Mars.
When choosing your corporation, you can select Prelude cards which will give advantages to the chosen company.
For example, the "Biofuel" Prelude card increases plant and energy production to start the game with two plants.
These accelerating effects offer a significant number of combos, which you'll need to learn to master to emerge victorious.
