Tschaï World is a role-playing game based on Jack Vance’s science fiction tetralogy. You can play either as natives from before Reith’s arrival or as part of a returning human mission with subversive objectives. Always at odds, your characters will find themselves in conflict with local potentates and customs.
This role-playing game is derived from Dungeon World, though you can play it on its own without owning DW (whose rules we’ve made freely available). We chose this system—and this game—because it is proven, versatile, and allows the fiction to be represented in all its richness.
For this iconic universe, we adopted the “Dungeon World quality.” All illustrations are in color, taken from Li-an’s comic book and complemented by artwork from Philippe Caza, many pieces of which are previously unpublished!
