This “3.0” version contains the same number of traps as the old French edition: 101. But they won’t be the same ones— the entire original range has been carefully reviewed to select those with the best gameplay potential, accompanied by new illustrations (including cover art by Peter Mullen), plus brand-new traps “made in France.”
What’s more (and perhaps most importantly), the format has been redesigned so the traps can be quickly used in play. While still keeping the sometimes cheeky fun of reading, Grimtooth 3.0 is above all, unlike its predecessor, a practical supplement. This includes structured action sequences, generic or system-specific stat blocks for Tunnels & Trolls, Donjon, and Dungeon World, as well as guidance on integrating traps directly into a scenario.
