Secrets are like poison. They infect everything around them, weaken the determination of the strong, bend the will of the inflexible. They transform you, they transform what you are into what you never wanted to be, they set the beast free in a way no one wants.  

All you wanted was to take a break on the road, a few days of fun at Oleasir's famous carnival week. But the rising moon sowed terror in its wake. Shouts tore the sky apart and innocent people were once again hunted down. In the aftermath of this tragedy, the inhabitants turn to you, hoping, against all odds, to find comfort in you and perhaps, just perhaps, save the life, and perhaps the soul, of a young girl.
