Description
The expedition begins with a transit along the edge of the Great Rift, taking the Travelers beyond Mapped Space. This is the last chance to turn back, the final test before the years of travel begin to unfold. Problems with the ship or its crew could derail the entire mission, and problems do exist! How the Travelers handle these problems will have repercussions throughout the journey.
A frantic life on a garden world. The blaze of energy from a molten star. Creatures from space moving through the rings of a gas giant. There are wonders to see, and dangers too. The Travelers will dive into the rubble of a vanished civilization and find the legacy of another mission with the same goal.
The Alikaia are a completely unknown space race in Mapped Space. The Travelers have the opportunity to rescue survivors from one of their ships - under very unusual circumstances. They must then negotiate a complex first contact situation where nothing is quite what it seems.
