2024 Annual DOMESDAY and the Norman Conquest
2024 Annual - DOMESDAY: The Norman Conquest 1066-1106 explores the struggle for the English crown following the death of Edward the Confessor. Multiple factions compete for power across four decades of warfare, political intrigue, and territorial expansion. Players command Normans, English, Danes, Norse, Scots, Welsh, Irish, and rebellious Barons in a contest for supremacy.
A card-driven historical strategy game
DOMESDAY is built around a card-driven system in which cards are used either as historical events or as action points to move armies and execute strategic plans. Designed by Philip Jelley, the game combines military operations, diplomacy, and long-term planning across an extended historical campaign.
Earn victory through control and influence
Players score victory points by controlling territories, raiding enemy lands, constructing towers and cathedrals, and placing their leader on the throne of England. Although playable with two participants, the design offers its richest experience with three or more players. The Annual edition also includes a large historical magazine featuring articles about the period and campaign.
