Description
The Kradschützen, or biker troops, was an integral part of the German Panzer divisions until 1942, when they were largely replaced by the Panzer grenadiers mounted on armored vehicles. Their workforce was often recruited from old cavalry units. Although transported on BMW and Zündapp motorcycles (usually with sidecars), these units went down to fight. Their missions consisted quickly overflowing the enemy, seizing advanced areas and acting as rapid recognition units.
