By winning tricks, you collect performers from the stage. The trump suit is determined by the most valuable performers currently on stage and will change throughout the game as you recruit and manipulate the line of performers.
The game consists of 36 cards, numbered 1 through 9 for each of the four suits. Each suit features three performers—worth 1, 2, and 3 points, respectively—representing the lead actors, supporting actors, and extras. The cards with values of 1, 4, and 7 in each suit allow you to manipulate the actors on stage and in the queue, which can change the current trump suit and the opportunities to score points each hand.
If, at the end of the round, you are the only player who no longer has any actor tokens, you collect all the actors currently on stage as your score for that round. Keep one card between each round and return all used actors to the waiting line behind the current line before starting the next hand according to the new playing order.
After playing an equal number of rounds per player, the player with the highest total score wins the game. In the two-on-two team variant, partners add their scores together at the end of each round, but they may not discuss their hands during the game.
