In Aeterna, you take on the role of a Roman Gens (family) trying to increase its prestige across three eras: the Roman Kingdom, the Roman Republic and the Roman Empire.
Your aim is to increase your influence over the city by supporting the conquest of the provinces, reigning over the “seven hills of Rome” and contributing to the construction of monuments and buildings.
In doing so, you must not demotivate the inhabitants of the hills you directly control, as unrest could make you look bad. If you manage majorities, maps and resources better than your opponents, your family will go down in the history books as one of Rome's most important.
