Backgammon is a game of reasoned chance for two players belonging to the family of table games. Despite the presence of chance induced by the rolls of the dice, the game has a great deal of strategy to try to counter the opponent's strategy. Its material includes an apron, two sets of 15 chips of two different colors, two 6-sided dice and a doubling cube with 2, 4, 8, 16, 32 and 64 sides.
The objective of the players is to get all their pieces off the board, which are distributed at the beginning of the game in a prescribed manner. There are three different ways to lose: ordinary, gammon (double an ordinary loss) and backgammon (triple an ordinary loss).
