Haiti’s history is as fascinating as it is tragic. Born in the blood of a rebellion led by Toussaint Louverture, occupied by the U.S. military in the early 20th century, and scarred by corruption and death, the nation endured no lasting peace or prosperity throughout the century. Under the infamous Duvalier dynasty, Haiti sank deeper into horror, dictatorship, and misery.
This tragic past, combined with the richness of Haitian culture, makes it an ideal backdrop for exploring the dark themes of Sigil & Shadow, in a land where the shadow of Vodou still looms.
Inite Se Fos is designed as a campaign framework for Sigil & Shadow. It can serve as the foundation for a full campaign, provide inspiration for your own urban backdrop, or simply be mined for individual elements that catch your eye.
This mini-supplement follows the principles laid out in the core rulebook: evocative locations, five factions defined by interdependence and conflict, and colorful characters. It is a sandbox, not a scripted adventure—the story will be shaped by the players’ choices, while factions and NPCs pursue their own agendas and react to unfolding events.
The setting provides five factions, each detailed through its key members, the places they control or frequent, their ambitions and objectives, and the hooks that might draw them into conflict with the characters—or pull the players into their schemes.
In addition, Inite Se Fos includes advice for running this campaign, along with a cast of ready-to-play characters.
