An update of the Chrome Basketball series, Topps premium range
2025–26 Topps Chrome Updates Basketball is headlined by one of the most coveted cards in the hobby: Rookie Debut Patch Autographs, making their Topps Basketball debut. Widely regarded as one of The Hobby's premier collectibles, these 1-of-1 grails feature game-worn NBA Debut patches and arrive in basketball for the first time, highlighted by standout rookies Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, and Dylan Harper. The release also showcases superstars including Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Victor Wembanyama, Anthony Edwards, Nikola Jokić, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and more across major SSPs and autograph content.
The 200-card base set features refreshed imagery of rookies, veterans, and legends, all presented with updated in-season photography in Statement, City, and Classic Edition uniforms, alongside a deep rainbow of Chrome parallels. Look for new inserts such as New Edition, Stratospheric Stars, No Limit, and Moment in Time, a set that highlights iconic NBA moments like Curry's "Ring Me" celebration in the NBA Finals.
The excitement extends well beyond Rookie Debut Patch Autographs. The release introduces the NBA's first Alter Egos SSPs, an imaginative 10-card set that transforms each player into a dynamic, illustrated, super-powered persona. Minions NBA are SSPs that reimagine NBA stars as Minions in collaboration with Illumination for a fun, highly collectible crossover insert. In addition, look out for the Denim Tears SSP parallel, and newly added Captains, Celebración short print inserts.
Autograph content is equally impressive with a robust lineup of Topps Chrome Autographs, including special appearances from Druski and Spike Lee. The 1980–81 Topps Basketball Autographs deliver another loaded checklist, while the ultra-cool Lava Lamp Rookie Autographs add a groovy twist. Chrome Updates Basketball is a must-have release, bursting with star power, innovation, and true hobby heat.
