Description

Welcome, a game with a 50s flavour

In Welcome, players take on the role of architects in the United States in the 1950s. The country, which emerged victorious from the Second World War, is in the midst of a demographic boom. The United States is going through a period of unprecedented effervescence, with a huge demand for construction.

Welcome, an architects' game

The country is developing at breakneck speed, and projects are pouring in from all over. But beware! You're not the only architect eyeing up these juicy contracts. Competition is fierce! You'll have to elbow your way through the competition to be recognized as the most talented architect of your generation.
It's up to you to respect the city's plans as closely as possible. Each player is given three streets on which to create the most beautiful housing estates, with luxurious parks and dream pools.

Welcome, a game with simple, effective mechanics

In this game, all players play simultaneously with the same deck of cards. The objective for each architect is to cleverly combine the house numbers that appear and the actions associated with them, in order to become the best architect in the city.

On each turn, one card from each of the three piles is turned over and placed face-up. Players must then choose the combination of cards they consider most favorable and apply its effects to their sheet.

Welcome, three ways to end the game

The game continues in this way until the players encounter one of these three situations, which then signals the end of the game:

If an architect is refused a building permit by the city 3 times.
If an architect manages to meet the objectives of 3 plans
If an architect succeeds in building all the houses on his three streets.

Contents:
  •     6 erasable sheets (front Classic sheet, back Blueprint sheet)
  •     6 erasable felt-tip pens
