The Thunder's Edge expansion has new and very handy color coded command and control tokens for eight players. Designed with customer feedback, we decided to make some alterations to the tokens' design. The original tokens have black and color combinations, while these tokens have silver and color combinations. The color and black areas have been flipped, so there's more color visible. What should make them easier to see on the game board. The enamel colors will be closely matched the colors of the plastic components.
There's 16 command and 17 control tokens per color and there's 8 colors for a total of 264 tokens. They have the same dimensions as the original tokens. They're 2 mm thick. They'll be cast out of iron for a weighty feel.
The starting costs are much larger than with any of my previous products, which makes this a somewhat risky product. The die cast mold fees are substantial, since there's so many different token designs. The large number of tokens also raises the asking price.
