Millennia ago, humans found themselves in the swamps of Jargono and were trapped there.
Exactly how and when this happened is not known, but they spent generations creating a primitive culture and civilization in a hostile and deadly world. Driven out and enslaved by the ruthless Serpentmen tribes that call Jargono home, the natives have adapted to become fierce warriors and tribal hunters. Every day is a struggle for survival against the carnivorous plants and beasts that roam the swamps.
Occasionally, one of these native Jargono warriors will leave their village and tribe to go on a Pa'kiarri or Warrior's Quest, passing through one of the magical gates to another world and a new life of adventure.
The indigenous Jargono tribe is a fearsome warrior specialized in close combat and movement. Their hunter's reflexes give them an advantage when fighting in an ambush or against a pack of beasts, while their primitive nature prevents them from using technology, firearms or reading books.
As natives of the Otherworld of Jargono, they do not start with a normal personal item, but rather with a Jargono personal item. They also have the option of starting their adventuring career with a swamp mushroom token in their bag, instead of the usual bandages, whiskey or dynamite.
